The Theatre Districtpresents

A new series of Saturday and Sunday afternoon shows for kids.

HOLLYWOOD, CA – "Not So Tall Tales" will open at The Theatre District at The Cast on Saturday,
November 17th and run through Sunday, December 16th. "Not So Tall Tales" is an afternoon production series for kids incorporating Storytelling, Reader's Theatre, Dance, Movement and the re-interpretation of classic Fairy Tales. This series' featured Tale is "Red in The Hood".

"Red in The Hood" is a modernized reinterpretation of Little Red Riding Hood. Set in the big city, Red
is headed to grandma's in order to show off her newest ballet moves. But when side-tracked by the
City's version of the wolf… she finds herself confronted not only by temptation, but by her own desire,
the desire to pursue hip-hop dance instead of ballet!

In addition to "Red In The Hood", this chapter of "Not So Tall Tales" will include storytelling and a
Reader's Theatre version of "The Grasshopper and the Ant". Conceived and performed by Theatre
District Company members, "Not So Tall Tales" is an on-going series that will produce three to
four children's productions per year.

"Not So Tall Tales" will run at 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday through December
16th. Ticket prices are just $5 and Family Packages are available. The Theatre District at The Cast
is located at 804 North El Centro, Hollywood, just two blocks north of Melrose and one block east of
Vine in the heart of Hollywood.
