PRESS RELEASE
"THE ROOM" By Max Riley readies for "Edgefest" – Los Angeles' Edge of the World Theater Festival Shows to begin on October 3rd at The Theatre District HOLLYWOOD, CA – The world premiere of The Room by Max Riley will proudly participate in this year's EdgeFest, the Los Angeles

Edge of the World Theater Festival. In preparing for the actual festival, which runs October 10th through 20th, The Theatre District will begin performances of The Room on Thursday, October 3rd.The Room is Max Riley's first full-length play, but second produced work at The Theatre District.  39*21*50, a One-Act play by Riley, was produced earlier this year in concert with The Most Massive Woman Wins. Riley's play received excellent reviews and was extremely well received by audiences. Managing
Producer Summer Spinks commented, "We’re thrilled to be producing Max’s first full-length play. Our first experience working with the writer was such a great collaborative process, that we jumped at the chance to be a part of this production." She continued that, "39*21*50 was a comedy that happened to also address some serious issues,

The Room is drama that tackles serious issues by exploring their comedy."In The Room, Riley explores formidable territory, as "War" babies find themselves in shock as the bombs of their maturing parents explode around them, and the fallout of aging hits their "Peter Pan" generation. The Room introduces us to three generations of women, a time of fear and a time of challenge in their lives, and the inevitable love-hate relationship that exists within "family".

The Room is directed by Artistic Director Mario Lescot and features Shannon Hunt, Alice Ensor and Nancy Peterson, all three actresses appeared in Riley's first play 39*21*50.

The Room begins performances on Thursday, October 10th. The Edge of the World Theater Festival runs from October 10th through October 20th. Regular show times are Thursday through Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 7:00 p.m. Ticket prices are just $15 and Thursday nights are always "Pay What You Can" (excluding Thursday October 10 and Thursday October 17 during the Festival).
